How we work with families
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
Keep your child home with a fever, vomiting or a rash you can't explain, and bring them back after a full day without it. If a child gets sick here, we call you and ask you to come soon.
Drop-off and pickup
A teacher hands your child to you at the room door. We release a child only to the people on your list, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.
Late pickup
If you will be late, call the front desk as early as you can, and a teacher will stay with your child. If we can't reach you after closing, we call the people on your list.
Meals, snacks and allergies
We serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Tell us about the foods your family eats and doesn't eat at the tour, and about any allergy in person; we ask again in private once you enroll.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for Thanksgiving, the winter holidays and a few days in summer. When weather closes us, we text every family that morning.
Leaving the program
We ask for two weeks' notice, in writing, so we can offer your child's place to the next family on the waitlist. The front desk will help you write it.
Naps and safe sleep
Babies sleep on their backs, in their own cribs, with nothing else in the crib. Older children rest on cots after lunch, and a child who doesn't sleep can look at books.
